Mrs. Barrows
5th Grade

June 08, 2007

June 11-15

Dear Parents~

What an emotional school family we had today! Praying for these remarkable young adults as they enter a new phase in their lives was just beautiful. Each one of them has special gifts and I will always pray that they use what they have in order to serve God and inspire people around them! I was completely shocked at the generous gift you all pitched in for-I could never imagine receiving something so precious from a class! This bracelet will be with me always-just as the wonderful memories this year has brought for all of us. THANK YOU so much for all you do!!!

Next Week:

Monday: States/Capitals Test. I will give a list of all the states, and you will fill in the capitals!
Tuesday: AUCTION!!!
Math Test.
Wednesday: Spelling Bee--Be prepared as this is usually a pretty tough competition between students! Will you be one of the final three???
-North Eastern States locations test.
Thursday: PARTY!!! We will sign up for things to bring and be in class from 8:30-10:30. After that children will be outside celebrating until 12:15. Please pick up your child by 12:30 as there will be no daycare.

I am so thankful and blessed that I was able to work with your children this past year. I don't think any teacher can ask for a more caring, fun, studious, well-rounded group of students. It was the perfect group to have for my last year at Crystal Cathedral Academy-and I do hope to keep in touch with many of you in the future! My email address is in your child's yearbook-write anytime!

Love,
Mrs. Barrows

May 28-Jun 1

Dear Parents~

It's hard to imagine that there are only two more letters after this that I will need to write to let you know what is coming up for next week. It has been such an amazing year, I can't explain to you how great your children are every single day! They have truly been a blessing especially as the last class I will teach here at CCA. They received a good report from the sub while I was out and I knew I would not have to worry about them at all! Congratulations to Tony for receiving this week's character trait award for "Patriotism". He is genuinely interested in all that goes into making this a great nation, and loves to learn about history. He sets a good example to us as a person who is a proud American and appreciates all that needs to be done in order for us to enjoy this freedom! Happy Birthday to Ed who turned 11 on Thursday!
