AWARDS: Congratulations to Shan Shan Lu for receiving the "Humility" award this week. Way to go Shan Shan!!
WHAT'S NEW THIS WEEK:
Social Studies: We have completed all of our required curriculum for the year.
Science: We will begin our last unit on Magnets.
LOOKING AHEAD:
June 6th. - Awards. Awards will be held in the classroom immediately following School Family. School Family will be held in the gym on Friday. This will be our last School Family for the year.
June 11th- End of Year Party- Please bring a sack lunch for our picnic that day.
June 12th- Last Day of School. Minimum Day.
Parents- Please have your children practice their math and reading skills over the summer months. This will better prepare them for 2nd grade.

GRAMMAR: We are learning how to use contractions correctly in a sentence.
MATH: Multiplying by two; acting out equal groups stories. Writing observations from a graph.
AWARDS: Congratulations to the entire class for receiving the" PATRIOTISM" award this week! Way to go First Grade!
The students did a marvelous job in School Family today! I was so proud of each and everyone of them. We received many nice words about our presentation. Thank you to all of you for the extra help at home. Much Appreciated!
Birthday Celebration: Thank you for all the lovely cards and gifts. I will treasure the class book the students made for me. It is absolutely adorable! A BIG THANKS TO THE MOMS WHO HELPED PUT THE BOOK TOGETHER. (Mrs. Hong)
